In non-commercial environments, this would be an idea that creates value because it got implemented. In commercial environments, it would be the introduction of something new to the market, or if you will, an invention that is commercialized.\" class=\"encyclopedia\">innovation<\/a> &bdquo;building blocks&ldquo; for larger, established organizations, some of which <a href=\"https:\/\/codify.in\/people\/jan-schmiedgen\/\">Jan Schmiedgen<\/a> has co-designed and witnessed in the last decade of his consulting and research work. He originally created the cards for his <a href=\"https:\/\/codify.in\/training\/innovation-system-design-course\/\" data-type=\"training\" data-id=\"2404\">Innovation System Design Course<\/a>, where they play a key role for mapping out examples of an <a href=\"https:\/\/codify.in\/de\/glossary\/innovation-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"An innovation system, as understood at a company-level, designates the infrastructures for finding, developing, evaluating, and implementing new ideas and business models within an organization. Another purpose they serve, is to give all kinds of people responsible for innovation an overview over the different (next- and best-practice) options on how to organize innovation. Because oftentimes we found, they are not even aware of a small fraction of the latter, which makes them fall trap to <em>&bdquo;the three steps to &hellip;&ldquo;<\/em> quick-fix programs or to have an <em>innovation lab reflex<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To use it<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>You can download a short <em>Facilitator&rsquo;s Guide<\/em> here: <a href=\"https:\/\/go.codify.in\/isysdcards-fg-de\">German (DE)<\/a> | <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/go.codify.in\/isysdcards-fg-en\" target=\"_blank\">English (EN)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best used with<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use them in all kinds of constellations. We often map them to a <a href=\"https:\/\/codify.in\/de\/glossary\/lean-innovation\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"A combination of discovery, creation, and value delivery approaches in an organization&rsquo;s innovation process. The goal is to reduce &lsquo;waste&rsquo; in the pipeline of new business exploration projects. To name but a few examples of waste in this context: untested customer\/problem\/value proposition or business model assumptions, insufficient validation of prototypes\/experiments with customers, or, even carrying forward political and zombie projects.
